Scheduling Large Freight Shipments

All freight deliveries to our warehouse must be scheduled in advance (this does not apply to small parcel deliveries via common carriers). LTL deliveries must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. FTL and container deliveries must be scheduled 48 hours in advance. Unscheduled deliveries may be refused. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis and will depend on the size and nature of the delivery.

To schedule a delivery, please contact support@shipessential.com and provide the following information:

  1. Consignee

  2. Carrier’s name

  3. Pallet count and piece count

  4. Purchase Order number.

Once a delivery time is confirmed, we will provide you with a contact name and phone number. Please provide this information to the freight carrier. Deliveries that arrive at our facility without this information may be refused.

Receiving Hours

Receiving occurs Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm EST (Does not apply to general carriers ie UPS, DHL, FEDEX). Freight deliveries must arrive before 4:00 pm EST.

Packing Slips

A packing slip is required for each shipment. If the shipment requires more than one trailer, a separate packing slip outlining the particulars of each trailer is mandatory. Shipments processed without a packing slip will incur a $50 fee.

Required information for each packing slip:

  • Purchase Order number

  • Product description

  • Item number–Lot Code/Exp Date if applicable

  • Number of units

  • Number of cartons

Pallet Requirements

Pallets must be wooden and cannot exceed 55 inches in height. Ship Essential prefers one SKU to be shipped per pallet. If this is not feasible, multiple styles are to be stacked vertically. The supplier/shipper shall physically separate the SKU’s (using cardboard, paper, plastic, etc) so that they are easy to differentiate when received.

Carton Requirements

Each carton must be individually labeled. Labels must include the following information:

  • SKU (do not mix SKU’s)

  • Quantity in carton

  • Lot number (if applicable)

  • Expiration date (if applicable)

  • Weight of each carton must not exceed 50 lbs
